Japanese Music Promotion Event

On April 17th, 88rising hosted an event in Los Angeles to promote the charm of Japanese music. The event, with support from JETRO Los Angeles, the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, and JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, sought to promote further expansion of the JapaneseMusic industry in the U.S. by showcasing Japan’s vibrant music industry and artists, including "Atarashii Gakko!" to U.S. music industry professionals and journalists, along with Japanese cuisine.

Recently, Japanese music and artists has drawn demand and attention in the United States, with Japanese city pop produced in Japan in the late 1970s and 1980s becoming popular and Japanese artists performing at some of the largest music festivals in the United States. The Japanese music industry is poised to draw even more attention in the future.
