Global Stage Hollywood

From October 28th to 30th, a movie festival “Global Stage Hollywood” was held at TCL Chinese Theatre. We participated in the opening night on October 28th to create a business networking opportunity for Hollywood and Japanese movie industries.
The event was organized by Douglas Montgomery, former Chairman of Japan America Society of Southern California, and has its roots in Japanese film festivals - “LA Eiga Fest. (2011 to 2015)”, “Japan Cuts Hollywood (2019)” and “Japan Connects Hollywood (2020)” to promote Japanese films. This year, the festival was carried out celebrating diverse creators from all over the world to screen both Japanese and international movies.
The opening film was “Poupelle of Chimney Town”, screenplay by Akihiro Nishino, which has been recognized with several honors and movie awards nominations. We hosted nearly 180 people at a reception and provided Japanese food and drinks at the venue, as well as Japanese toys sponsored by Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Inc. Also, JAPAN AIRLINES Los Angeles Office sponsored the event to attract inbound tourism to Japan.
