Taste of Japan Anaheim 2025

2025/6/23
Taste of Japan, a celebration of Japanese culture, was held at the STC Gardenwalk in Anaheim from June 13 to 15, 2025. This was the fifth time the event was held in Anaheim City, Orange County.

At the opening ceremony on Friday, June 13th, Deputy Consul General Aoshima gave opening remarks and highlighted the event as a wonderful opportunity to introduce Japanese culture and Japanese food to the community. He hoped that the participants would enjoy a variety of Japanese foods such as ramen, yakisoba (Japanese stir-fried noodles), takoyaki (octopus balls), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), katsu (pork cutlet) sandwiches, as well as anime and traditional crafts. Following the opening remarks, Mr. Takuro Wanami, Executive Director of the JETRO Los Angeles Office, also joined the stage for a sake barrel opening ceremony.

This year's Taste of Japan included a city pop event featuring Hello Kitty, kendo, koto, and more on the main stage. In the food area, there were Japanese food booths selling ramen, including ramen, yakisoba, takoyaki, yakitori, katsu sandwiches, etc., and the indoor YOKOCHO FEST featured Japanese sake, shochu, craft beer, and more.
