Dinner Held to Honor Nisei Week Foundation

On September 24, Consul General and Mrs. Sone invited the Nisei Week Foundation with its Queens and Court to a dinner at the Official Residence of the Consul General in Los Angeles.

After the opening remarks by Consul General Sone, Ms. Joanne Codeiro, 2024 Nisei Week Foundation President delivered her speech, and Ms. Kaitlyn Emiko Chu, 2023 Nisei Week Queen proposed a toast. Ms. Helen Ota, 2025 Nisei Week Foundation President, gave closing remarks.

During the dinner, each attendee introduced themselves and shared their own stories about how they got involved in volunteer activities for the Foundation, which provided everyone a chance to learn more about Nisei Week’s history.
