JAPAN・O～JAPANESE FOOD SHOWCASE 2024

On September 25, 2024, Consul General Sone and Mrs. Sone participated in “JAPAN・O～JAPANESE FOOD SHOWCASE 2024” held at Japan House Los Angeles and hosted by KKT Enterprises, J-MADE, and Fresh Foods Master. The event featured presentations and tastings of high quality frozen foods from various regions of Japan and aimed to further promote the export of Japanese frozen foods to the U.S. market as well as to communicate the appeal of Japan's advanced freezing technology and high quality frozen foods.
After opening remarks by Consul General Sone, JETRO Los Angeles Executive Director Tsuwaki, and JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles President Kaifu, 17 different types of Japanese frozen foods were introduced, including fish sausage, surimi fish, veggie burgers, vegan bento, frozen sushi, vegetable sushi, seafood ramen, frozen rice balls, pancakes, and liqueurs. Participants enjoyed tasting the frozen foods provided while listening to explanations of the food products by each business. Several of the Japanese businesses came from Japan to share about their products in person, and others joined online and shared their products while being streamed on the venue’s large screen.
