JACCC holds 41st Anniversary Celebration & Awards Dinner

On June 23, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) held its 41st Anniversary Celebration & Awards Dinner at the JACCC Noguchi Plaza. Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles MUTO Akira attended and gave remarks at the celebration and awards dinner, which was themed “Kansha: An Appreciation for the Past, Present, and Future.” The 2022 Honorees recognized at the event included MUFG Union Bank for its longstanding contributions to Little Tokyo and the Japanese American Community, with Kazuo Koshi of MUFG New York accepting the honor. Kathryn Doi Todd, a retired Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeal, and the AutumnFest Committee, which has supported the JACCC, were also honored. The 41st Anniversary Celebration & Awards Dinner was an opportunity for Japanese Americans and others to meet up in person since the pandemic, and to celebrate with joy and gratitude in a space that was inviting and welcoming.
