Farewell reception for Consul General Kenko Sone

On August 7, there was a farewell reception for Consul General and Mrs. Kenko Sone at the official residence with guests from the consulate jurisdiction primarily of the Southern California region, including elected officials, government representatives, and community members with ties to Japan.
Remarks were made by Consul General Sone and actor George Takei, and presenting special commendations were U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman, Los Angeles City Councilmembers John Lee, Monica Rodriguez, and Heather Hutt, and Long Beach Vice Mayor Lucius Martin. President of the Japan Business Association of Southern California, Mr. Shinichi Fujinami, gave the toast.
