2019/5/1
On April 27th, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Masashi Adachi, visited the Japanese garden located in the City of Glendale’s Brand Park. This Japanese garden was restored under the Japanese Garden Restoration Project sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in 2017; and its tea house “Shoseian” was also restored by the Japan Foundation in 2018. This was the first ministerial visit by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. In the garden, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Adachi was guided by Mr. Michael Belzer, Chairman of the Friends of Shoseian, and enjoyed the tea ceremony demonstration at the tea house.
