Spring 2023 Asian Business Roundtable

On March 27, the World Trade Center Los Angeles hosted “Spring 2023 Asian Business Roundtable”, with experts speaking on and discussing key topics of interest for professionals in the Asian business sphere.
 
After opening remarks by Mr. Michael McClune, President of the World Trade Center Organization Los Angeles, Mr. Larry Holt, who is Vice President of Economic & Workforce Development at Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, gave a presentation on economic forecasts. Mr. Rachid Sayouty, Director of the Los Angeles Office of the US Commercial Service also gave a brief overview of inter-Pacific trade.
 
The panel discussion featured Sergeant Erin Liu of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Alexander Kim, civic leader and policy advisor, as well as Detective Orlando Martinez, the Coordinator of Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) response to hate crimes, in a lively Q&A session with the audience. The discussion focused on public safety issues such as homelessness, a major topic of concern in Los Angeles.
