2025-2026 Japanese Business Delegation to Arizona in March

The Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles led a Japanese business delegation to Arizona on March 4-5, 2026 in collaboration with JETRO Los Angeles, Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), and Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA).
Arizona has emerged as a global hub for innovation in advanced manufacturing and various industries. This two-day program enabled Japanese companies to deepen their understanding of Arizona’s growing industries, such as advanced manufacturing, AI, bioscience, and more, while gaining insights into the latest trends, business opportunities, and quality of life in the state, and connecting with local stakeholders. Around 50 Japanese delegates from approximately 40 companies and organizations, from across the US and Japan joined the program of economic seminars, panel discussions, and company visits.
The programming on March 4th also included a networking reception with around 200 attendees, including business and community leaders and several elected officials including Arizona House of Representatives Michael Carbone, Junelle Cavero, and Michele Pena, as well as Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chair Kate Brophy McGee, Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman, and more.
The business delegation is expected to further contribute to the emerging technology by Japanese companies, increase direct investment from Japan to Arizona, and strengthen Japan-Arizona economic ties.

· Arizona Regional Overview by ACA and GPEC
· Panel Discussion by Southwest Mission Acceleration Center and Salt River Project
· Panel Discussion by Mayo Clinic Discovery Oasis and Nuclearn
· City Government Introductions (City of Chandler, City of Glendale, City of Goodyear, City of Mesa, City of Phoenix, and Pinal County)
· MOU Signing Ceremony and Networking Reception
Day 2
· Presentations by Japanese Organizations in Arizona: Japan Business Association of Arizona and Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arizona
· Presentation by Japan Bank for International Cooperation
· Working Lunch and Visit to Arizona State University (ASU) Polytechnic Campus
· Visit to Phoenix Bioscience Core
