2024-2025 Japanese Business Delegation to Arizona in February

The Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles led a Japanese business delegation to Arizona on February 20-21, 2025 in collaboration with JETRO Los Angeles, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, and Arizona Commerce Authority.
Arizona has been a hotspot for investments while pioneering new advancements in a variety of industries. The 2-day program provided an opportunity for Japanese companies to further learn about investment opportunities in the state’s diverse industry sectors including autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles, AI, robotics, climate tech, and biotechnology.
The first day focused on the business ecosystem in the Greater Phoenix area while the second day focused on Southern Arizona, including a tour to academic institutions and companies in Tucson, Pima County. Up to around 50 Japanese delegates from across the US and Japan joined the 2-day program of economic seminars, panel discussions, company visits, and networking receptions.
This business delegation is expected to further contribute to the emerging technology by Japanese companies, increase direct investment from Japan to Arizona, and strengthen Japan-Arizona economic ties.
