Young Japanese & Japanese American Business Event

2026/2/20
In late January, the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles hosted a panel discussion and networking event at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center: “Multicultural Perspectives on Work Life – In Conversation with Young Japanese and Japanese American Leaders.”

Many Japanese companies have expanded into the region, but they face various challenges, such as differences in business practices and ways of thinking compared to Japan, as well as language barriers. This event aimed to provide ideas for resolving these issues. Members of the Japan Business Association of Southern California (JBA) Next Generation Forum and the LA Next Generation Japanese American Leaders Initiative participated, engaging in frank exchanges of opinions and deepening connections.

The consulate looks forward to future similar events to help the relationship between Japanese companies and the Japanese American community grow even stronger, to further expand the reach of Japanese companies.
