Deputy Consul General Aoshima joined Sake in the Park 2025!

2025/7/24
On July 18, “Sake in the Park” was held at Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles. The event supported Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), which has a long history of providing social services and community development services to the Little Tokyo community and the broader Japanese American community in Southern California. This year marks the 45th anniversary of LTSC's activities.

At the beginning of the event, Deputy Consul General Aoshima gave remarks expressing his gratitude to the LTSC for their 45 years of services and activities to support the Little Tokyo community. He mentioned traditional sake brewing being added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list and hoped that everyone would enjoy the diverse charm of Japanese sake. Following this, a sake barrel opening ceremony was conducted alongside the event organizers, U.S. Bank, the event's sponsor, and Mutual Trading Company.

Participants enjoyed over 50 varieties of premium Japanese sake, shochu (Japanese distilled spirit), beer, and other alcoholic beverages, as well as appetizers and cuisine from 20+ food and beverage vendors in Los Angeles.
