JX’25 Celebrates the U.S.-Japan Music Industry

JX’25 was held on March 14 at Soho Warehouse, featuring a panel discussion on the “2025 Japanese Music Industry - JX NEXT X-OVER,” hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles and the LA Next Generation Japanese American Leaders Initiative.
 
The panel was moderated by Kevin Nishimura (Co-CEO & Co-Founder, Transparent Arts) and included panelists Tom Windish (Executive Vice President & Agent, Wasserman Music), Atsushi Goto (Deputy Executive Director of Music Business Division Pony Canyon & Board Member of Pony Canyon USA), and producer & songwriter her0ism.

JX awarded the Global Achievement in Music Award to Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. and the Community Impact Award to Bill Imada of IW Group. The offices of California State Senator María Elena Durazo and Assemblymember Mark González presented commendations to the awardees and CEIPA (Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association).

JX’25 also celebrated matsuri'25, a music festival held in Los Angeles on March 16 presented by CEIPA×TOYOTA GROUP “MUSIC WAY PROJECT,” which aimed to bridge Japanese music and U.S. audiences.  

JX, which stands for Japan Crossover, is the community hub for Japanese diaspora talent and industry leaders within entertainment, lifestyle, and culture through events and salons. JX curates, connects, and amplifies current and future collaborations between the U.S. and Japan.
