Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Bread, Espresso &

On April 9, Consul General Sone participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly opened “Bread, Espresso &” in Redondo Beach.
Bread, Espresso & （パンとエスプレッソと）has 37 stores in Japan, and opened its first U.S. store in Redondo Beach on January 30, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Consul General Sone expressed his hope that the opening of “Bread, Espresso &” will lead to further collaboration between Japan, Redondo Beach, and Southern California, as well as increase the popularity of Japanese culture and cuisine. After remarks by Rachel Judson of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held, and the organization presented a certificate of recognition to the operator, H.I.S. Americas Inc.
