Japan Forum 2025 at SEMICON West
2025/11/4
On October 7, the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles co-hosted the inaugural Japan Forum 2025 with JETRO Los Angeles and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arizona (JCCIAZ) at 2025 SEMICON West, North America’s largest semiconductor related exhibition, in Phoenix, Arizona. SEMICON West, which has been held in San Francisco, California for over 50 years, drew significant attention as it was hosted in Arizona for the first time.
The Forum featured multiple sessions highlighting Japan’s most advanced technologies in advanced packaging, materials, and equipment, featuring invited speakers from industry, universities, and highly experienced, well-known experts from Japan and Arizona. Following the sessions, a networking reception brought the participants together to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships. Representatives from the Japan Forum 2025 organizing bodies, along with Arizona economic development organizations including the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GEPC) and the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), delivered remarks at the reception highlighting the growing economic collaboration between Japan and Arizona.
Japan Forum 2025 attracted over 600 participants throughout the day, including semiconductor companies, government officials, and economic organizations not only from Japan and Arizona but also from various other regions. The event offered a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of the semiconductor supply chain through the perspectives and expertise of leading Japanese firms.
