Japan-Focused Career Event

2024/3/5
On March 2, at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles hosted a career event for JET Program alumni and Japanese language learners, focusing on Japanese companies in Southern California.

While California has a large Asian American population and a deep understanding of Japan, which makes it an easy environment for Japanese companies to conduct business activities, opportunities to explore career development paths using the Japanese language are not widely offered. The purpose of this event was to provide a career path that utilizes the Japanese language and passion for Japanese culture.

The event was attended by 43 participants, including students from California State Universities, nearby community colleges, and job seekers looking to find employment opportunities where they can utilize their Japanese language skills. It was also a great opportunity for Japanese entities to recruit motivated individuals who understand and are interested in working at a Japanese company
