Japanese Delegation Visit to Arizona

On February 22nd and 23rd, the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles hosted a Japanese delegation visit in Arizona.
With a string of investments by semiconductor companies and suppliers of semiconductor-related materials and equipment, Arizona has been attracting attention as the next Silicon Valley. We invited Japanese companies considering expansion or investment in the U.S. as well as Japanese companies already in the U.S. that are considering expanding their business in Arizona. It provided an opportunity to further learn about investment opportunities in the state through economic seminars, panel discussions, company visits, and networking receptions. Over 40 Japanese companies and organizations (nearly 80 delegates total) joined the program to better understand the investment, business and living environment in Arizona.
The program is expected to further contribute to the semiconductor market by Japanese companies, increase direct investment from Japan to Arizona, and strengthen the supply chain of the semiconductor industry.
