Visit by Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force: Training Squadron to San Diego

Two ships from Japan Training Squadron, "JS Kashima" and "JS Hatakaze" of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), will make a friendly port visit to San Diego, from Thursday, September 21 to Sunday, September 24, 2023 for the purpose of overseas training and international goodwill between Japan and the United States. The following events are scheduled during the visit:
1. Open to Public: Visit to "JS Kashima" and "JS Hatakaze"
(1) Date and entry hours: September 23 (Saturday), Morning 10:00am~12:00pm
Afternoon 1:00pm~4:00pm
(2) Location: South Side of B Street, Cruise Ship Terminal (1140 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101)


2. Music Performance by the Japan Training Squadron, the Kearny Mesa Concert Band and the US Navy Band Southwest
(1) Date: September 23 (Saturday), 1:00 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.
(2) Location: Balboa Park Spreckels Organ Pavilion (2125 Pan American E Rd, San Diego, CA 92101)
