Consul General Visits Chandler Museum in Arizona

On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles Akira Chiba visited the Chandler Museum in Chandler, Arizona to view the exhibit, “Gaman: Enduring Japanese American Internment at Gila River” along with Honorary Consul of Japan in Phoenix Kelly Moeur.
Consul General Chiba and Honorary Consul Moeur toured the new museum, which opened to the public on Dec. 8, 2018, with Chandler Museum Administrator Jody Crago. They were also joined by City of Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, who welcomed Consul General Chiba to the museum.
“Gaman: Enduring Japanese American Internment at Gila River” can be viewed at the Chandler Museum through April 18, 2020.
