Effective April 28, 2009, there has been a temporary suspension on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of Mexican passports. Until further notice Mexican nationals are required to obtain a temporary visitor visa before traveling to Japan.

Mexican nationals who reside in the Southern California or Arizona can apply for the visa at the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles. If you reside outside of our jurisdiction, please click here to find the consulate where you can apply for the visa.
