Exports of Japanese Persimmons Launched |

Starting from Oct. 12, 2017, fresh Japanese persimmons that meet United States Department of Agriculture plant quarantine requirements, are permitted to be imported to the USA.
The departure ceremony for persimmons to the U.S. took place at JA Kihoku Kawakami Marui Fruit Sorting Center in Wakayama Prefecture on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017.
Japanese persimmons will be available at supermarkets in the Los Angeles area. They will also be provided to seminars for fruits wholesalers and distributors, as well as to Japanese Food and Ingredient Supporter Stores for their special menus based on Wakayama persimmons.
