Starting from Oct. 12, 2017, fresh Japanese persimmons that meet United States Department of Agriculture plant quarantine requirements, are permitted to be imported to the USA.

Japanese persimmons will be available at supermarkets in the Los Angeles area. They will also be provided to seminars for fruits wholesalers and distributors, as well as to Japanese Food and Ingredient Supporter Stores for their special menus based on Wakayama persimmons.
