hosted by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun on the
importance of continuing to build strong relations
among the Asian nations and the ongoing future
collaborative possibilities in economics, cultural
exchange, and environmental initiatives.

 Nearly 200
woodblock prints of Hiroshige Utagawa will be on
view at the Norton Simon Museum from June 4, 2010
- Jan 17, 2011. This exhibition shows the
diversity of the work of Hiroshige Utagawa, an
exceptionally prolific artist of his time.

San Diego Events of the
U.S.-Japan Security Treaty 50th
Anniversary Navy
Region Southwest and the Japanese and Japanese
American communities will hold a series of events
June 25 - 26 in San
Diego to mark the 50th anniversary of the
signing of the US-Japan Treaty of Mutual
Cooperation and Security. Events include a
special ceremony at the USS Midway Museum, a Beer
and Sake Festival, and a Japanese American
