The New Building Security Procedures at the Two California Plaza Building

July 2008

The Consulate General of Japan has been informed by the building management office that, starting August 4, Two California Plaza building will adopt a new Visitor Management System to reinforce building security.

The new system requires that all visitors, upon arrival, show a valid photo-ID (passport, driver license, etc.) at the security desk in the first floor lobby to get a name tag. They will then be escorted by the building security to the elevator, where access to our suite (the 17th floor) will be given.

Please, therefore, be sure to bring your photo-ID (passport, driver license, etc.) and allow yourself a few extra minutes for registration at the security desk upon arrival.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call the Consular Division (Passport or Visa Section) at (213) 617-6700.

  Note: The Consular Division (both Passport and Visa Sections) window hours are;
excluding holidays, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
