heavenese picWho is “HEAVENSE” ?

Heavenese is a music unit that will bring entertainment to people of all ages. Our purpose is to let people know the beautiful Japanese tradition and culture by collaborating with the sound of the Gospel and R&B, music that is familiar to many American households. The music we bring is truly a genre of its own.
Heavenese is a Gospel unit composed by Marehisa Ishii (also known as Marre), musician, writer, pastor, and counselor and his wife Kumiko. While the band consists of over ten artists with diverse genres and backgrounds, band members were brought together by an unchanging spirit all in one accord.  Our performances are not merely filled with entertainment that will bring pleasure visually and acoustically, but also bring humor and message of the Japanese Spirit of “Yamato.”
Heavenese has caused sensation among the entertainment industry in the United States for its unique, original sound and entertainment. The band independently planned and conducted Japan Earthquake benefit concerts titled “Don’t Forget Japan Tour” for free admission at seven locations in southern California. The concerts were success and brought over 9,000 people. The band has released songs produced by Andrae Crouch, directed by Sheila E. A debut album is to be released this fall in U.S.
